FOCUS ON N35: FLAGSHIP OF THE NAVETTA SERIES DESIGNED BY HOT LAB

At 35 meters in length, the Filippetti N35 is the Flagship Yacht of the Filipetti Navetta Series. Designed in partnership with Hot Lab Yacht and Design for both the interior and exterior, the N35 boasts 5 cabins in the standard layout, with a full beam master suite on the main deck and 3 impressive solarium areas. Like all Filippetti Yachts, the N35 is also completely customizable from the layout to the décor.

This vessel offers the owner seemingly endless amounts of space. Onboard there are three solarium areas, all of them grandiose and private: one on the bow, one on the stern, and a third at the center of the boat.

On the main deck, you will find the impressively voluminous master cabin. It is the largest in its category, and comes equipped with a bathroom and wardrobe. The main salon and the exterior dinette, located at the stern, ensure exclusivity for the master cabin.

The Filippetti N35 has another four cabins, three doubles and a single, all with a private bathrooms located below deck providing the upmost comfort for guests. The gym, located right in the center of the yacht, is another distinctive amenity offered. It features high-tech fitness equipment, a massage table, and a sauna. The gym has a spectacular view as well, with a balcony that can be opened and closed, creating a second platform on the sea.

On the Flybridge area, the solarium is complete with a whirlpool tub, as well as a bow area with two large sofas and coffee tables, offering comfort and privacy. Located separately is a living area with a dining table, and wheelhouse. Above the Flybridge, you will find another reserved solarium located at the tallest point on the yacht, to capture the most breathtaking views anywhere in the world.

Spectacular amounts of light flood and illuminate the boat, provided by the large windows located all throughout the vessel. In the master cabin, the windows run 180° towards the bow, offering impressive, wide-ranging views. Beneath the deck, in the center, the VIP cabin runs the whole length of the yacht and features large portholes on both sides.

The Engine room of the Filippetti N35 hosts two TWIN CAT 1,150 HP engines that can reach a cruising speed of 14 knots and a maximum speed of 18 knots. With 30,000 liters of fuel, 4,500 nautical miles rangethe N35 guarantees more than fifteen days of continuous navigation for long and relaxing cruises in harmony with the sea and with the minimal environmental impact.

COMFORT ON BOARD: N SERIES

The N SERIES has high standard for the comfort on board. In addition to providing a functional and unique ambience, its design also benefits from special measures that improve the quality of the life on board, creating quiet and cozy surrounding.

Our commitment to comfort is proven when put to the test. In two tests performed by professional journalists on board the Filippetti Navetta Series, the N26 detected a lower level of noise in decibels than the typical dialogue between two people when cruising at 13 knots. Aboard the N30, the noise level still measured below that of a normal conversation when cruising up to a maximum speed of 17 knots.

The acoustic and thermal insulation soundproofing are designed to contain the transmission of vibrations and noises and to minimize thermal losses. All walls provide additional insulation, which thanks to the use of anti-vibration, guarantee maximum silence during night cruises. Thermal insulation is achieved through the use of the glass chamber, an insulating glass formed by two-coupled glass, separated by an air gap dehydrated or gas, protected on the entire perimeter by a double sealing.

COMFORT ON BOARD

The comfort on board is a crucial factor in choosing the right boat. Market demands have lead shipyards to develop new solutions and use techniques and materials that are increasingly more modern, efficient, and innovative. When it comes to comfort on a boat, there is more to consider than just the furniture or equipment – true comfort embodies the entire experience of life on board, and a quiet cruise with minimal vibration can make all the difference. This thermal and acoustic isolation is achieved through insulation. The insulation technique is used to isolate two systems that have different environmental conditions. This is done by injecting insulation between two parts of specific materials (ex. panels) that do not allow the exchange of heat – in the case of thermic isolation – or exchange of vibrations – in the case of acoustic insulation. When the correct insulation solution is chosen, passengers will experience perfect temperatures and optimal energy savings. Sound insulation is especially crucial with boats that travel over long distances and navigate during the night. In general, sound in the interior of the yacht is generated by devices which vibrate and make noise during their operation. The noise generated by these sources is diffused in the various environments through two main transmission mechanisms: by air and by structure.

By air

An example of this case is noise coming from a device that is closed in the engine room. The vibrating walls of the device create pressure waves in the surrounding air (acoustic waves), which distribute and are perceived as noise. These waves travel within their environment until they reach a wall, at which point part of the noise is trapped within its environment, and part passes through to the adjacent environment. The transmitted acoustic energy gives rise to what is called “noise transmission by air”.

By structure

This is an example of vibrating devices connected to the engine room foundations in a more or less elastic way. This induces vibrations in the underlying structure (mechanical energy); once the vibratory energy has been transmitted to the structure and distributes inside it, because of the low level of damping of the typical materials used for the construction of the structure (steel, aluminum fiberglass), it also spreads into areas far from the original source. Once the energy reaches a panel or a flat surface, it creates vibrations that in turn generate pressure pulsations in the surrounding air, producing noise in the environment.

The main sources of noise on board a vessel are:

– The propulsion system components (main engines, gearboxes, propellers, engine exhaust systems);

– Auxiliary systems (generators, exhaust systems associated with them);

– Hydraulic systems (pumps, hydraulic actuators, bow thrust, winches, cranes);

– Various plants water/air (electric motors, compressors, pumps, valves);

– Fans (engine room, indoor fan coil booths, air treatment units);

– Electrical systems (panels, inverters and electric devices under voltage).

Depending on the specific conditions, different insulation can be used from a wide range of materials, including:

The isolation is accomplished with customized products and with fastening systems suitable for each individual system element. It is important to remember that on-board comfort is also synonymous of safety. It is also for this reason that the engine room is one of the areas that receives the most attention. Various isolated pipelines are also used in this environment to reduce high temperatures, avoid burn hazards, and prevent the spread of fire.
